Work History

Cashier, Tagger/Runner, Buy Counter Coordinator, Enterer and Sorter

Once Upon a Child
05.2025 - Current
  • While currently working at Once Upon a Child, I’ve worked as a Cashier, a tagger/runner, Buy counter Coordinator and an enterer and sorter. I’ve been able to sort through customers' clothes that they’ve dropped off to see if it’s deemed acceptable for our establishment. I’ve also been able to enter these items into our system to compute a quote for our customers. I’ve helped attend to customer needs whether that be questions they may have or actions they may need help with.

Cashier

Michael’s
12.2022 - 05.2025
  • During my years of working at Michaels Arts and Crafts, I have mainly worked as Cashier. I have also had the opportunity to work with kids during their summer crafts program, Creatology, by making multiple crafts for three weeks and working with and teaching kids on how to do these crafts. I have also hosted painting events for kids during our regular Sunday kids crafts. During the summer, I was able to draw and color a poster that was pasted in the store's window. Lastly, I had the opportunity to create sidewalk chalk art of SpongeBob and Patrick for a Michaels store Chalk Art contest. Regarding being a cashier, I have worked with cash, physical forms of payment and returns. I have been the main source of customer questions where I help them find what they need, even if it isn't in our store. I have also worked on the floor, helping to organize and return items back to their appropriate positions.

Cashier

Ross Dress for Less
06.2022 - 12.2022
  • While working at Ross Dress for Less, I worked mainly as cashier, dealing with cash, virtual forms on payment and returns. I was also put in the stockroom where I would unbag clothes and items, put price tags on some of them, and organize the clothes by size and type. I would also be in the fitting room where I interacted with the customers, making sure they were satisfied with their clothing experience. Lastly, I would be on the floor where I helped organize and clean up clothes, shoes and other objects that needed to be tidied.

Partnership Raleigh Youth Conservation Corps
06.2021 - 08.2021
  • During this summer job, I visited different Raleigh parks in the area. I learned about invasive plants and distributed them to help the other, non-invasive, plants grow. I learned about different park jobs from speakers that would occasionally come in. We did trail maintenance with mulch and picked up trash at these same parks. I hosted my own community service event where I had a group of people who signed up follow me into a river in waders to help dispose of trash we found. I have also helped with box turtle research. We also got to learn about financing and saving money during my experience.
