Grant or deny complex and highly sensitive applications and petitions for immigration benefits based on electronic or paper applications/petitions. Research, interpret and apply appropriate statutes, regulations, and precedent decisions to make adjudicative decisions. Process H1B applications for immigration benefits for beneficiaries and dependents using using various systems to complete adjudication of their petitions.

Perform preliminary review of immigration applications and databases, identifying information relevant to the performance of background and security checks. • Assisted Asylum Officers in the adjudication of benefit applications, petitions, and removal actions by compiling and evaluating data and preparing case decisions. • Review case decision documentation against applicant file to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and procedures. • Interacted with applicants, attorneys, and Interpreters or representative of record to deliver case decision, ensuring understanding of decision or next steps. Using programs such as RAILS, Global, IMM, EOIR, CIS to help grant or deny applications. Process grants and Immigration documentation for applicants to appear before judge for asylum or deportation. Processed grants and NTA (Notice to Appear) to applicants on the affirmative side.

Conduct investigations of firearms licensees and explosives licensees/permittees; investigations/inspections involving analyzing records, and referring leads identified involving firearms & explosives thefts to ATF Special Agents for further investigation. Document and report discrepancies revealed from examining records and inventories; including evidence of falsification of records and inventories, suspicious purchases or potential trafficking uncovered in firearm transaction records reviewed.

Receive, examine, and adjudicate applications for the issuance, amendment, and replacement of passports forwarded by acceptance agents or presented by applicants or applicant representatives. Examine evidence of citizenship submitted with applications to determine and judge authenticity and adequacy in relation to laws, regulation, and procedures associated with the issuance of passports. Maintain awareness of the possibility of fraudulent documentation or claims of identity and develop or resolve such cases.

Operating screening equipment to identify dangerous objects in baggage, cargo and on passengers, and preventing those objects from being transported onto aircraft Performing searches, to include hand-wand and pat-down searches Controlling terminal entry and exit points Interacting with the public, giving directions and responding to inquiries Maintaining focus and awareness while working in a stressful environment which includes noise from alarms, machinery and people, crowd distractions, time pressure, and disruptive and angry passengers, in order to preserve the professional ability to identify and locate potentially life threatening or mass destruction devices, and to make effective decisions in both crisis and routine situations

Required to inspect packages that are being shipped internationally. Making sure no prohibited items enters the aircraft. Also delivered and picked up packages from customers throughout the day. My skills from my current job helps me understand proper protocol on fraudulent shipping and what steps to take if this is encountered. Worked alongside Customs and Border officers to help them look for packages that may have prohibited items.
