I have worked at Heller's Gas for over 10 years and started as a manager trainee, but quickly gained an understanding of the industry and moved up in the company. I went from a manager trainee to a customer service manager where I took phone calls from existing customers to help with any concerns or issues they were calling about and used critical thinking to solve or fix any issues and also took calls from perspective new customers. I was then moved to dispatch/delivery operations where I reviewed accounts that were due for delivery and created delivery tickets for those accounts while also reviewing and adjusting their PPG as needed. I would also review other things on each account such as checking on their usage vs tank storage to make sure customer's were properly stored for their usage. I also reviewed delivery schedules vs usage and adjusted customers delivery schedules as needed based on their usage to make more efficient deliveries. I made a big impact with this position and found many ways to make accounts more profitable and efficient. I was then promoted to a new position added specifically for me as I was asked to narrow my focus to just pricing so that I could help increase profit margins across the company.
