Projects

Member of American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA)

  • Designed and built a rocket in Solidworks with a team of 2 additional students to travel to roughly 1,200 ft, deploy a payload carrying an egg and to have the payload land safely.
  • Designed and built a rocket in Solidworks to travel to roughly 3,000 ft and be able to recover the rocket in order to earn Level 1 certification.

Worked with 5 other students to design a two stage high powered rocket to travel to 2,500-4,000 ft while also limiting the maximum acceleration of 5Gs

  • Used Solidworks to design the rocket and Ansys to analyze the aerodynamics of the rocket
  • Managed the staging sequence of the propulsion system as well as serving as the model rocketry subject matter expert for the team
