  • Play a critical role in protecting the nation's largest power provider and ensuring the safety of personnel and nuclear reactor systems.

  • From April 2008-September 2018, I worked uniform patrol in multiple patrol divisions including: Northern Division, Southern Division, Western Division, and Mid-City Division.
  • I assumed a leadership position as a Field Training Officer for 4 years. In this trainer/supervisory role I trained and mentored numerous young officers.
  • I was a member of the San Diego Police Department Peer Support Team. As a Peer Support Team member I have received 76+ hours of training in order to offer information and support to those officers involved in critical incidents.
  • From September 2018 - November 2021, I was assigned to the Firearms Training Unit. The Firearms Training Unit supports the San Diego Police Department's effort to provide professional, current, and comprehensive training in police tactical firearms theory and method. The unit is responsible for running more than 950 handgun qualification shoots, 350 rifle qualification shoots, and various other training classes a year.
  • Daily I balanced teaching department qualification shoots to a police department of approximately 1700 officers with other collateral duties. I instructed qualification shoots, individual/squad training shoots, armoring of various types of firearms, general customer service for officers and retirees, I was in charge of ordering all firearm replacement parts, and armorer tools, and created and maintained the entire range calendar via Success Factors. The range calendar includes: scheduling more than 1,300 department qualification shoots, various training classes that occur throughout the year, weekly Advanced Officer Training, and San Diego Regional Police Academy training that occurs at the range.
  • I was the co-creator of the San Diego Police Department Pistol Mounted Optics Program. The program received California POST accreditation and is currently the most comprehensive program of its kind in the state of California.
