KELLI WALKER

• I am the Assistant Manager for the Remote Monitoring departments. This department includes central telemetry and virtual sitting.
• I successfully moved both units to a new building off-site and have helped develop a new leadership role for our monitor techs.
• I am in charge of doing employee reviews, providing in the moment coaching, and following up on any issues that arise.
• I assist our unit educator with education efforts with this department.
• I am part of several committees including the Nurse Retention committee and the Patient Education committee.

• I worked as a Clinical Staff Leader on a cardiovascular step-down unit
• In this role, I served as a direct supervisor for employees under my cohort and I was responsible for coaching, evaluations and any disciplinary measures needed
• I did scheduling, assist in quality and patient safety initiatives, provide support for Epic, and other projects
• I am part of several committees including the Nurse Retention committee and the Patient Education committee.

• I worked on the Cardiovascular Short Stay and during that time served as a staff nurse, charge nurse, and patient flow nurse
• I took care of patients with a variety of cardiac diseases, post op cardiac and vascular surgeries, and post cardiac cath procedures
• I served as a charge nurse for a year prior to moving into the patient flow nurse roll where I helped with discharges and admissions on the unit
• I served as the Unit Board co-chair for 2 years and helped facilitate our unit's Epic Go-Live.

I worked on cardiac stepdowns and medical-surgical units in three different hospitals. I floated to different areas including orthopedic, psychiatric, intensive care, the emergency department. I was responsible for the care of up to 7 patients during this time.

• This population included heart transplant patients, LVAD patients, patients with heart failure, heart attacks, pre/post cardiac cath, pre/post CABG, dysrhythmias, and other heart issues
• 2 Daisy Award nominations received, and I was Employee of the Quarter
