-Collaborated with the clinical documentation team to ensure that valid MSDRG assignment, patient safety indicators, and hospital acquired conditions are supported by physician documentation and appropriate coding.

-Monitored assignments in work queues to ensure that all records are completed in a timely manner.

- Generated coding queries for clarification of physician documentation as needed.

-Stayed current with changes in coding conventions and coding updates as well as department policies and goals.

-Accurately abstracted data elements within the patient medical records to comply with hospital requirements.
