  • Proactive mechanic responsible for the installation, adjustment, realignment, troubleshooting, and final functional operational tests on a variety of major aircraft systems, their assemblies, and components (such as airframe, landing gear, power plant, gear boxes, pumps, and hydraulics).
  • Receive asset and perform initial testing to determine the nature of trouble and extent of adjustment or repair needed.
  • Conduct a thorough inspection of aircraft systems, components, or parts for defects, serviceability, and/or proper installation by visually checks and through use of drawings, system diagrams, manufacturer’s data, and technical orders (T.O.s).
  • Determine when systems are operational and whether portions must be repaired or replaced, type of adjustment needed, and/or if alignment is needed.
  • Capable of completing major overhauls to routine maintenance and servicing of aircraft. Disassemble, repair, and reassemble aircraft systems to functionality, and operational compliance. Use automated test equipment (ATE) to test components for internal/external leakage, sequential operation, and fluid flow rates for specified pressure and lengths of time.
  • Perform pre-overhaul and final operation testing of components to assure all operating specifications were met under simulated operating conditions
  • Analyze nature of failures and make necessary adjustments to render items serviceable.
  • Complete applicable paperwork and record flow limits following prescribed technical data.
