My name is Kelsey Beebout, I have graduated from the University of Sioux Falls, with a major in Criminal Justice and Sociology. I currently work as a teacher at LSS's Childcare and Education Center. I have completed an internship with the Minnehaha County Juvenile Justice Center. I was under the guidance of Nate Ellens and other staff learning how they care and operate for the youths in the facility. Internship: Juvenile Detention Center

- For the fall of 2020 I was offered the opportunity to sit in and learn from the staff at the Juvenile Detention Center in Sioux falls, SD
- At my time here I learned the ways of the facility and the proper techniques of first aid and CPR, and Pat-down Searches
- There were a few occasions where I was allowed to sit in on court proceedings and learn the layout of those for the juveniles.
