As a Cashier Assistant at Walmart, my responsibilities primarily involved supporting cashiers, and ensuring a smooth and efficient checkout process for customers. I assisted in scanning and bagging merchandise, handling returns and exchanges, and helping customers with any questions or concerns they might have had during their shopping experience. I also made sure that the checkout area was organized and clean, restocked bags, and ensured that all necessary supplies were available for the cashiers.

I also worked closely with the store's front-end team to ensure that customers were greeted promptly, and that lines were kept short by assisting with opening new registers when necessary. Additionally, I helped to monitor the self-checkout stations, offering guidance and troubleshooting for customers who needed assistance.

Throughout my time as a Cashier Assistant, I gained experience in customer service, time management, and teamwork, all while maintaining a positive, efficient environment for both customers and colleagues.

As an associate at Burlington Coat Factory, my role involved providing excellent customer service and helping to ensure the store ran smoothly. I greeted and assisted customers with their shopping needs, offering product recommendations, helping them locate items, and answering any questions about store promotions or sales. I also maintained the organization and cleanliness of the sales floor, ensuring that products were properly displayed, and shelves were well-stocked.

In addition to customer service, I helped with inventory management, which included receiving shipments, sorting merchandise, and tagging items for the sales floor. I also assisted with the fitting rooms, ensuring that they were clean and orderly, and helping customers with their selections as needed.

At the register, I processed customer transactions, including sales, returns, and exchanges, and handled cash, credit, and gift card payments accurately. I also worked with my team to support store promotions, helping with visual merchandising to create appealing displays, and making sure products were priced correctly.
