A junior nursing student At Alcorn State University.Seeking a Nursing Intern/ Extern position that will utilize learned skills and offer growth and advancement, Assisting with routine patient care activities under the supervision of the Registered Nurse, Including, but not limited to, performing ADLs, obtaining clinical data, including vital signs, heights and weights, utilizing universal precautions, collecting specimens or performing point of care testing and recording results in medical record, etc. Dedicated nursing student currently working towards a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing. Solid understanding of the role of nurses in interdisciplinary environments. Excellent clinical and people skills.

• Community/ School Involvement
• I volunteer with the Community Humanity Involvement Club (CHIC) of AKA in Clarksdale, MS. We deliver fruit to the local nursing homes, read, and play games to their residents. We assist Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Iota Delta Omega Chapter with keeping Coahoma, Bolivar, and Quitman Counties clean. I volunteer with the Urgent and Primary Care Clinic of Clarksdale with their monthly vaccination drive at Coahoma County Convention Center.I assist with check-in and make sure clients wait 15 minutes after receiving the vaccination. I volunteer annually with Shelby Housing Authority Back-To-School Rally and Day of Thanksgiving. I also volunteer with the Shelby Housing Authority monthly vaccination drive. The agency partnered with Delta Health Center, Inc. to provide vaccinations to their residents and the community of Shelby, MS. With the Back-To-School Rally I'm over the children's games. I make sure the kids are safe and take all necessary precautions. The Day of Thanksgiving, I check all the residents in and I'm over the games that's played during the event. With the Vaccination Drive, I make sure the clients sign in and complete all necessary paperwork. JMG, keeps Shelby, MS clean. I volunteer on the second and fourth Saturday of each month. I volunteer at the annual car wash for my school, Northside High. This carwash is held to help raise money for the athletic department. At the car wash I direct traffic , hold signs, and help take up donations.
