Operate excavators, dozers, backhoes, track loaders, wheel loaders, and different compactors. Make sure the ground is prepared to the precise specifications required for construction or landscaping. Make sure all underground utilities are marked and overhead lines are made aware before excavation. Conduct daily pre trip and startup inspections. Interpret drawings and blueprints. Operate various GPS equipment. Utilize lasers and grade rods to verify grade elevations. Figure subgrades and percentages for building pads, parking lots, easements, ditches, streets, and ponds. Communicate effectively with crew members on daily tasks, contractors, inspectors, and project managers so that the job is completed correctly and on time. Report hazards or unsafe working conditions. Maintain daily records, time sheets, production, and equipment logs.

Operated excavators, and skid steers. Performed daily pre trip startup and inspections of equipment. Followed MSHA safety standards to maintain a safe working environment. Removed layers of landscape stone from the ground with excavators and sorted/loaded into dump trucks to be taken to an area to be placed onto pallets. Hand stacked landscape stone onto pallets by size, thickness, and type of rock. Staged, tagged, and placed pallets of landscape stone onto semi trailers to be shipped out under a certain weight. Scaled out semi trucks and filed paperwork.
