The Packaging Operator operates packaging system and material handling equipment to safely produce quality product in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices.

Operate all equipment necessary to properly package finished product

Load, unload, store, sample, and transfer raw materials, finished product, and miscellaneous items

Maintain equipment through proper lubrication, minor repairs/adjustments; report all malfunctions and needed repairs

Maintain accurate and complete records and charts

Routinely sanitize and clean plant equipment and facilities

Perform material handling duties in accordance with all applicable OSHA and EPA standards

Effectively communicate with all other team members and actively solicit feedback of job performance

Participate in safety, quality, and productivity improvement projects

Followed detailed instructions to operate machines with accuracy and produce quality products.

• Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Education and/or Work Experience
• Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent, technical school a plus
• Working knowledge of FDA regulations and GMP guidelines
• Exposure to Statistical Process Control techniques
• Previous production experience in a pharmaceutical or food manufacturing plant
• Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office / control system experience
• Physical Requirements:
• Rotating shift assignments and overtime as required; should be physically able to lift up to 50 pounds, bend, tie bags with both hands, walk and stand for long periods of time
