5 Years 7 Months- Began as a firefighter and was promoted to Fire Captain within 9 months. Received additional promotion to Battalion Chief six months later and held that position until 2011. While serving in this capacity, I was in charge of department personnel and responsible for department apparatuses and equipment, insuring the readiness to respond and be utilized in the event of dispatched emergencies. Responsibilities also included weekly training of department personnel in all aspects of responding and mitigating various types of emergencies.
