  • Program CNC equipment from engineered provided drawings.
  • Assig work to employees to ensure jobs are kept on or ahead of schedule.
  • Work with my tools daily, in the shop and on the vessel.
  • Take inventory daily and submit a list to my supervisor of needed items.
  • Certified welder, 3G tig, i weld for our shop as needed.
  • Attended production meetings for multiple projects.
  • Review specs to have knowledge of the project
  • Attended Schedule Validation Meetings to discuss projected projects.
  • Discuss workflow with supervisor to keep task sheets up to date.
  • Keep my supervisor aware of what projects are being worked to make sure job specific hours are being used.
  • Responsible for all shop work, wood shop work, 154' RDAP, 110' FMS, 210' DECOM, EAGLE, and any request that other shops need to support road trips and or yard work
  • Emergency Travel for the Coast Guard Yard to support sheet metal/joiner and electric shop work. trips normally are from 1 week up to 6 weeks long.

  • Create Excel check list to track completed work.
  • Inspect items called out in the spec and submit CFR's with recommended repairs , modifications or changes
  • Review CFR's to find the estimated hours for my supervisor to have chargeable time for projects that we are working.

  • I was placed on second shift during this temporary promotion and was the team lead of 6 people.
  • completed scheduled work on time
  • Tasked other team members with specific jobs as we were instructed to work six feet apart during COVID.
  • Traveled to California to prepare Polar Star ice breaker for its mission
  • reported to the supervisor time and completion of each job that we were tasked with.

  • Boat leader.
  • 140' project. completely removed the interior of the boat and worked from Blueprints to layout and rebuild the living quarters of the vessel.
  • Teach employees how to read blueprints and layout work.

  • Worked with senior mechanics that showed me specific ways to do jobs from cutting steel to installing inserts and tacking them in to get ready for the welders.
