Assignment: study the distinct properties of a derivative of an experimental cancer treatment, ferrocene. Organized and collaborated with team; Conducted a synthesis reaction between Ferrocene carboxylic acid and methoxyanaline. Recrystallizations, filtrations, and melting point analysis were conducted and compared to other derivatives. Used Gas Chromatography Mass Spectrometry (GCMS) and Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR); analyzed the graphs machines provided for us to study the structure of the product. Submitted findings to the Head researcher; wrote a scientific report in MSWord comparing products and outlining the derivative's unique structure and attributes.
