As PC Lead 3rd Shift my job is to oversee the nightly operations of the warehouse. This includes:

  • Having fluent knowledge of Daily/Weekly/Monthly build plan & site operations
  • Resolving or Escalating any issues that may arise
  • Making sure a clear line of communication is maintained between the warehouse floor & management
  • Make sure all relevant paperwork, is completed daily (This includes the sending of & responding to all relevant Emails.)
  • Conducting daily team meetings
  • Assign daily workloads
  • Monitor day to day activities of team members
  • Monitor all break & lunch in’s & out’s
  • Monitor/Manage team overtime
  • Conducting PPE audits
  • Conduct Productivity/Safety audits randomly
  • Conduct Quality audits to ensure that associates are not unknowingly using damaged materials.
  • Make sure that all damaged materials are accounted systematically for and properly placed in designated MRB area
  • Identify areas that can benefit from efforts of Continuous Improvement
  • Supervise/Assist/Conduct the training of new associates or associates new to their job of the day.
  • Cover or assign an associate to cover for call outs, PTO, or associates that may be tardy for any reason.
  • Making sure the work environment stays clean & safe

Supervising all 3rd shift logistics:

  • Warehouse- all aspects of material movement – Staging, Stocking, Re-stocking, Long & Short-term storage
  • Replenishment – Expected to use knowledge of Daily/Weekly/Monthly build plan in order to advise team on daily replenishment procedures, also expected to make certain that the correct material is in the correct location.
  • Work Order Creation & Requisition, BOL Creation & Requisition, Ship Confirming, Sealed Truck Procedures, freight loading/unloading, Offsite movements/Outbound-Inbound, Shipping, Receiving, Selecting, Hazmat Materials
  • Expected to use all warehouse materials movement equipment as needed. (Forklift, Electric Pallet Jack, Manual Pallet Jack, Overhead Lift, Gantries, tugers, etc.
  • Make sure that all team members using heavy equipment are qualified & certified
  • Perform daily equipment check audit

As "Production Control Lead" at Tesla, Fremont Ca. it was my responsibility to direct the Production Control Team through all aspects of material movement and line replenishment.Responsibilities & Duties

  • Attending/Conduct daily staff meetings
  • Responsible for knowing build plans
  • Responsible for a complete knowledge of parts concerning each individual build. (This includes "qty", warehouse location, & availability)
  • Responsible for the daily collection of all defective material.
  • Responsible for making sure all defective material is properly tagged, processed through the MRB system.
  • Responsible for identifying any complications/problems that may arise during my shift and correcting or escalating those issues.
  • Responsible for creating nightly "PC" station assignment list, also responsible for nightly station rotation.
  • Expected to perform PPE safety audits, during which I not only make sure that my team is using the correct PPE but using it properly with easy access.
  • Expected to review work throughout the work process, at various stations within the work zone to ensure that it has performed properly, or to the line's specific needs.
  • Expected to train, monitor, & assist all new associates, or associates new to their position.
  • Expected to be able to fill in for any associate, at any station, at any point during the shift if needed.
  • Expected to keep detailed logs/records of all nightly activities.
  • Expected to systematically publish all nightly records so that they may be readily available at anytime.
  • Expected to be able to proficiently use Scanners, Laptops, Tablets as well as other warehouse related technical equipment.
  • Expected to be able to operate Forklifts, Electric pallet jacks, tuggers, Gantry lifts, Basic lifts, and other forms of warehouse machinery.
