  • In this role, I had the same responsibilities as an Assistant Store Manager but more in depth. I make to check all departments to ensure that we are doing things correctly and following company/safety guidelines. I worked closely with each department manager to make sure that they’re rotating their products and checking dates to improve shrink the best we can. With this new role had also have to make sure that we are in line for a great audit score when the time comes.

  • My time as Assistant Store Manager, I helped lead our team through the Covid-19 pandemic to ensure that we helped our customers and community by any means necessary. I learned how to make schedules through WFM, but I could improve in that department. I’d help order all departments so that we would be prepared for the new ad week or weekends. My job was also to help improve sales, take care of any customer or employee issues and help the store manager run the store to make their workload a lot easier. I also keep up with date checks, and motivate our partners to take pride in their work.

  • My goal as a grocery manager was to work closely with the store director and assistant manager to ensure customers have a wonderful and memorable experience each time they shop at our store. I manage about 50 employees daily to help with any immediate needs they may have and solve problems amongst them and customers. As well as met safety, productivity and quality standards.

Extracurricular Activities

Even though I no longer work at #708, I am still involved with community activity in DeKalb, Tx. In the past I have been a key liaison with Brookshire’s. Some activities I would do are reading at the school, helping at community events, donating to my community, etc. My passion is to help families with needs and try to be an example to the younger children I encounter.
