Summary

I have practical personal experience in the medical field and use of medical vocabulary. I worked to learn to care for our premature daughter by learning to use an apnea monitor, home oxygen, feeding tube, and learned to give injections. I cared for my brother with hospice help in end stage renal failure, giving medication, and positioning for feeding. I cared for my mother with congestive heart failure and spent hours at the hospital with cardio version procedures, use of home oxygen, and medications. I researched and diagnosed my husband's rare, genetic cancer called Gorlin Syndrome and found a clinical trial. I helped care for my friend with diabetes and leg amputation until his last days. I helped care for my friend's son with Huntington Disease. I am able to consolidate information in a professional and appropriate manner for the user. I am interested in learning to consolidate my knowledge and skills in the medical field.
