Division of Forestry Excellence in Law Enforcement Award

I was nominated for this award because of my law enforcement efforts on the Brule River State Forest, where I was in charge of all law enforcement activities, including scheduling, patrolling, citation issuance, tracking/documenting annual LE cases, and testifying in court monthly as the court officer.  I became a tactical instructor for the north west district, and I along with other tactical instructors would plan and hold quarterly shoots in Park Falls, Minocqua, Superior, and Tilden.  I was certified to teach tactical firearms using handgun, shotgun, and AR-15 rifle.  I was also a AR-15 armorer and Remington 870 armorer.  I patrolled the 47,000 acre Brule River State Forest and made numerous cases in timber theft, fish and game violations, break and entry theft, and drug use, along with campground violations.
