I have experience in positively contributing and consistently serving my local community. • National Science Bowl: Treasurer for the Science Bowl Chapter at TWHS, and attend meetings every Thursday, gaining knowledge over various topics in math and science. I also competed at the regional level competition in January of 2024.
• Key Club: Volunteered 50+ hours; editor for the TWHS chapter of Key Club. I have been an active member of this club throughout three years in high school, exhibiting my dedication by always being the first to letter and earning the most points for the club. I donated several goods to food drives, particularly during my junior year, volunteered at local Kiwanis events, and attended socials. Additionally, I plan to attend the LEDCON convention this spring in 2025. Currently as editor, I complete many tasks such as creating newsletters for our district, writing HOTO articles, and promoting the club via social media and flyers.
• HOSA: Volunteered 30+ hours; active member for all of high school, and I plan to compete with my group at the district level at the end of 2024. I took online exams over the events of Epidemiology in my sophomore year in the fall of 2022, and Medical Terminology in my junior year in the fall of 2023. I volunteered at several events promoting the advocation of several health illnesses, attended various health-related lectures, and created hospice cards for the elderly.
• Science National Honor Society: Volunteered 50+ hours; active member for the past 3 years, tutoring and teaching underachieving 5th and 6th graders, as well as underclassmen in the subjects of math and science, particularly chemistry. I attended several lectures led by scientific professionals in our community, donated goods for food drives and fundraisers, and volunteered for several trail-clean ups around our school. Additionally, I ran for the secretary position during my sophomore year in the spring of 2023, and the treasurer position during my junior year in the spring of 2024.
• National Honor Society: Volunteered 30+ hours; member from April 2024-present. Currently volunteering at many local events suchs as fairs and festivals, assisting children in their events, and setting up the events and cleaning up afterwards.
• Women-in-Stem: Member for the past two years; exploring and learning about various careers for women with a passion for STEM, and encouraging other students to join the club and advocating for a greater participation of women in STEM.
