I am an ambitious third-year mechanical engineering student specializing in the automotive industry. I possess a strong combination of technical expertise and exceptional customer service skills. With over four years of experience in client-facing roles, I have honed my active problem-solving abilities, allowing me to effectively tackle any challenge.

I aim to apply my academic knowledge and diverse work experience to develop innovative solutions that demonstrate my strong mechanical engineering capabilities. I am eager to leverage my skills to contribute meaningfully to my field.

I am actively working on creating a functional toy car with technical Lego. This project is a great opportunity for me to deepen my understanding of gear systems and other essential mechanisms used in cars and machinery. I am excited to learn and apply these concepts as I progress with my build!

My team successfully built an innovative car powered by mousetraps, featuring an autonomous braking system utilizing Arduino. We designed and constructed everything from scratch, showcasing our skills and creativity.

• I am an engaged member of the Vietnamese Student Association (VSA) at the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC), where I take the initiative to lead community activities that foster connection and cultural awareness.

• In addition to my involvement with VSA, I actively participate in the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) at UIC, collaborating with my peers to broaden our collective knowledge and skills in the automotive field. Furthermore, I have gained valuable insights into basic car repairs, such as oil changes, tire changes, and minor replacements. I also enjoy the creative process of building functional machines using a technical Lego gear set, which allows me to apply my engineering interests in a hands-on way.

• Since starting my weightlifting journey in 2019, I have cultivated dedication and discipline which have greatly enhanced my fitness goals. My practical experience in repairing gym equipment—including treadmills, rowing machines, and ellipticals—has equipped me with a solid technical skill set.
