Accomplishments

• CompTIA A+ Certification
Successfully passed the CompTIA A+, an industry-recognized certification that validates foundational skills required for entry-level IT professionals. The certification exam includes both multiple-choice and performance-based questions designed to assess practical troubleshooting and technical knowledge. The exam covers core IT domains including hardware, software, networking, operating systems, and security. Earning this certification demonstrates my ability to diagnose technical issues, support computer systems, and maintain IT infrastructure in professional environments.

• Linux Essentials Certification
Successfully passed the Linux Essentials, which focuses on the fundamental concepts of Linux and open-source operating systems. This certification strengthened my knowledge of Linux system architecture, command-line usage, file system navigation, open-source principles, and basic scripting concepts. Completing this certification helped develop my foundational Linux administration skills, which are essential for careers in cybersecurity, cloud computing, and system administration.

• Marketing 330 – Product Development & Market Strategy Simulation
During my coursework at New Jersey Institute of Technology, I participated in a semester-long team project focused on developing and marketing a new shoe product. Students were divided into teams of eight and tasked with creating a product designed for a specific target audience while developing marketing strategies for both domestic and international markets.

Working closely with another team member, I helped develop marketing and pricing strategies for our product. I also analyzed weekly sales performance data and wrote reports over the eight-week simulation explaining how our strategy would be adjusted each week to improve sales and maintain competitiveness. My analysis and recommendations helped guide decisions regarding pricing, marketing, and product positioning.

Our team finished second overall out of eight competing groups, achieving strong results in the simulation with highly positive returns. The data analysis I conducted, along with the strategic suggestions I provided to the group each week, helped our team remain competitive and nearly achieve first place in overall sales performance.

•Black Data Processing Associates (BDPA) – High School Coding Competition
Participated in the Black Data Processing Associates High School Coding Competition, a national technology competition that has supported STEM education and training since 1986. The event includes participation from more than 30 chapters across major cities, bringing together thousands of students competing for scholarships and recognition.

As part of a five-member team, I contributed to the front-end development of our project, helping design and implement the user interface. Our team successfully placed third out of more than 30 chapters, demonstrating strong collaboration, programming skills, and problem-solving ability in a competitive national environment.

•Entrepreneurial Project – Apparel Brand Development
Alongside my brother, I was developing a mesh shorts apparel brand, which has required months of research, planning, and development. We have invested significant time during our academic schedules to build the business and create a competitive product in the apparel market.

Our work has included:

• Designing apparel graphics using Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator

• Conducting marketing research and competitor analysis

• Developing product designs and brand identity

• Researching trademark protection for the brand

• Establishing a legal business entity as a Limited Liability Company (LLC)

• Creating spreadsheets to manage inventory, costs, and financial planning

• Developing and launching our own e-commerce website using Shopify

Through this entrepreneurial project, I have gained practical experience in product development, digital design, business strategy, and e-commerce operations while strengthening my organizational and problem-solving skills.
