Skills

A good part of my adult life I was a stayhome mother of two I volunteered at the local schools in miami springs all through my children’s growing up years, and helped with tutoring I was also a member of the miami springs historical society for decades and own a historic 1924 home there that we carefully and lovingly restored My eldest son has autism and I’ve probably learned and grown more from the experience of raising him than I’d ever imagined! He has taught me patience, helped me greatly appreciate hands on multi sensory learning and to totally encourage and honor that everyone has a song or a way of learning and growing if you just listen and pay attention and respect a person’s abilities, interests and attention and work to create a space and world where they will flourish in and grow more curious of expanding their minds and abilities My younger son is an artist and a graduate of The Cooper Union in NYC so I also have a great love for the arts I also cared for both my elderly father and mother who struggled with dementia and it was an honor to do so Plus, it helped me grow into a more appreciative person awho knows with certainty every day is a gift I find it rewarding to help others

I’m delighted by finding joy in the small things, embracing gratitude, and perpetually being hungry and curious for new experiences and knowledge I find these three things to be my biggest assets

I also have a great passion for my hobbies which include nutrition and cooking with fresh ingredients, gardening with a blend of tropical and native plants, Everything history- especially local history fascinates me because four generations of my family have lived in miami area, photography and decorating and fashion especially with vintage incorporated The old blended with the new celebrates the past with a vision of the future

I love the outdoors so long walks as well as scootering to see all the architecture and plants are also daily pleasures for me You learn through all your senses
