-Managed a nursing department consisting of three LPN's and

myself.

-Performed all annual and quarterly assessments for over 160

special needs adults.

-Facilitated all Dr. appointments, including specialists, minor and

major procedures. Dental and Optometry appointments as well.

-Liaison between all healthcare providers, LPN's, and staff

regarding patient care, medications, and behaviors.

-Visited all six group homes at least once a week to do chart

reviews, check medications, and watch a medications pass being

performed by support staff.

-Worked pre-op, preparing patients for surgical procedures.

This included reviewing history and physical forms, medication

history, starting IV's, and administering ordered pre-op

medications.

-Assisted anesthesia with minor procedures such as nerve blocks,

and steroid injections and ketamine injections.

-Recovered patients from procedures such as knee replacements,

rotator cuffs, hip replacements, face lifts, breast augmentation,

cervical spinal fusion, ACL repairs, ORIF's, and many other

orthopedic and plastic surgeries.

-Followed up with patients within 24 hours.

-Prepared all patient charts for the following days procedures,

as well as reviewing all necessary lab work and pre-op

requirements.

-Pre-op phone calls for potential surgical patients. Noting

their history and physical, medications, current medical status,

etc. Was a liaison between surgeons and anesthesia.

-Cared for patients pre-operatively by starting IV's, administering

prescribed medications, shaving surgical area, and administering

versed in preparation for minor outpatient surgical procedures.

Which included colonoscopy's, steroid injections, T&A's, etc.

-Recovered patients after surgical procedures. Administered

pain medication, antibiotics, and reviewed all surgical post op

instructions while preparing patients for discharge.

-Followed up with all patients via phone within 24 hours.

-Worked exclusively as a PACU nurse.

-Recovered patients from major surgeries such as open heart,

trauma, brain and spinal cord, etc.

-Recovered general surgery patients such as hernia repairs,

cholecystectomies, hysterectomys, sinuses, and orthopedic

procedures.

-Monitored vital signs closely, managed pain control, initial dosed

antibiotics and other prescribed medications, facilitated Dr.

orders, and communicated everything with the nurses on the

floor that would be receiving the patient.

-Transferred patients to the floors once they were stable.
