  • Perform Full Eye Examinations on patients daily; testing, refraction, muscle balance, visual fields, tonometry, slit lamp exam, keratometry, examination of contact lens fit, along with any other testing requested by Optometrist.
  • Triaged phone calls and MyChart message requests from patients for Doctors, along with responding to Rx and Prior Authorization requests from patients, pharmacies and insurance companies.
  • Trained new ophthalmic technicians and assistants on full eye examination procedures, testing equipment, ordering contacts and specialty contacts, ordering clinic office supplies and pharmacy medications, proper ordering, receiving, inserting and disposing of live tissue Prokera into TrackCore and helped prepare for testing required by Vision Department for position.

Optician role included dispensing glasses, fitting and adjusting glasses, ordering and receiving glasses and EOD reports if needed. Patient Liaison role included assisting with phone calls and all patient triage phone and in person, preregistering patient appointments and scheduling appointments.
  • Weekly review and ordering of all clinic office supplies and pharmaceutical supplies and medications through Lawson and other supply chains or organizations. In charge of ordering, receiving, inserting, extracting and inventory storage process for our specialty Prokera Membrane Tissue within our organizations TrackCore and BioTissue Company.
