I was a deck/ stew for one year on a 60m motor yacht. I worked as a member of the interior team when guests were on and time when the boat needed to be flipped between trips. I worked outside during docking maneuvers and when guests were off, on a 'as needed' basis. I am well-acquainted with all sectors interior, including laundry, housekeeping, and service and I have acquired specific skills such as table settings, flower arrangement, enhancing crew communication, and safety meetings spokesperson for interior along with others.
I was a temp deck/ stew on a 40m motor yacht during a shipyard and crossing period. During my time on M/Y Koju, I primarily worked as a deckhand assisting the captain with boat renovation and prepping for the Fort Lauderdale boat show. As my first role on a yacht, I learned directly from the captain about deckhand washdown procedures, caulking, sanding, washing teak, and polishing.
