As a future counselor, I am constantly developing and evolving both individually and academically. As a dual student I am seeking to be able to enhance my skill set by studying clinical counseling as well as marriage, family, and couples counseling in order to see a broader range of clients from all walks of life. During my time at Stetson, I am developing my skills in many areas such as problem solving, efficient communication, ethics, confidentiality compliance, diagnostic assessment, active listening, systemic thinking, conflict resolution, stress management, and cultural competency. I am continually challenged to critically think about all facets within a variety of clinical cases. In addition to this, I aim to diligently apply client centered diagnosis, treatment approaches, and goals. I actively practice self reflection, bias awareness, and strive to maintain an inclusive perspective.
