Additional information

I was apart of Operation Lonestar from October 2023-September 2025. It is a voluntary state deployment with the Texas Army National Guard. The main focus of this deployment is to help secure the border and assist U.S. Border Patrol with migrants illegally entering the country. This led to the experience of the following.

  • Apprehending and physically restraining individuals not in compliance of immigration laws.
  • Use of equipment such us ATAK to monitor sensors and locate individuals through illegal ports of entry.
  • Physical searches on individuals to locate contraband, weapons, smartphones, and other evidence.
  • Following individuals and vehicles related to human smuggling and reporting them to U.S. Border Patrol.
  • Maintained communication with encrypted and secured radios to ensure the safety and security of agents and guardsmen.
  • Attended muster meetings and gathering intel on high profile individuals known for breaking immigrations laws such as human smuggling, drug trafficking, and illegally housing non-citizen residents in their home.
  • Qualified marksman in both rifle and sidearm whilst maintaining responsibility of my firearms in public spaces.
