- After working in the maintenance department part time for a little over a year under two different directors who both put in a good word for me, I was offered this full time position by our VP.
- In this role I am the sole caseworker for our 251 unit PBV apartment complex.
- Once I receive documents from our management company, it is my job to process resident move ins, transfers, and move outs.
- It is my responsibility to calculate both the tenants and housing’s portions of rent as the tenant’s portion of rent is based on their income.
- Once the residents have been moved in it is my responsibility to follow up on any reported income changes, as well as processing annual recertifications for each of our residents. I have to follow our verification hierarchy in order to properly verify income based on HUD guidelines.
- It is my responsibility to ensure all of our residents are within HUD’s guidelines to be on the PBV program at all times.
- We went through a company wide software conversion back in August of 2025, and we also went paperless at the same time. This was quite a struggle for many of my less tech savvy colleagues, but this is where I excelled. I have even been able to help train my colleagues and even my supervisor because I was able to quickly adapt to the new system.

- When a guest came in it was my job to make sure they had a great experience and wanted to come back.
- I worked to build relationships with guests that came in, in order to make regulars.
- As a Service Assistant:
- I was the first and last person each guest saw, so it was important that I made a good and lasting impression.
- My job was to get people seated, and if necessary maintain a waiting list as quickly and efficiently as possible.
- We also focused on 1 minute table turnarounds to insure the flow of the waiting list.
- As a To Go Specialist:
- My job was to answer phone calls and take down orders quickly and efficiently, as well as ensuring each order was packed correctly and delivered to the guest in a timely manner.
- As a Server:
- This position is all about sales. My goal is to upsell each ticket as much as I can , while maintaining a great guest experience.
- Any chance I get, I make sure to let all guests know about any promotional items we may have (example: drink of the month, or any specials we may have)
- I make sure to know as much as possible about everything we offer, so that I am able to answer any questions that a guest may have.

- My main role in this position was taking phone calls and emails from residents at two 200+ unit Public Housing apartment complexes and generating work orders for those tenants.
