The responsibilities include but aren't limited to cleaning the many types of carpets and upholsteries we service, making sure our machinery is running correctly and efficiently, and working in a well-timed and structural manner to ensure we are proficient in keeping our promise to consumers to arrive at their home or business in a timely fashion.
My job at Westside Beer Distributing consisted of coordination with my team to ensure that all inaccuracies and other forms of errors are rectified before being verified for delivery to their designated locations.
In my position, I was responsible for being the middleman between my supervisor and the employee's tasked with creating an accurate order for our customers, acting as a last line of defense.
This position allowed me to work flexible hours while I was going to school full-time at Fairmont State University. Pilot is a very busy chain of rest stops based around providing the necessities of living to over the road truck drivers. These drivers who travel across the country usually only have one or two interactions a day with people, so being a cashier I always prided myself on creating the top quality service I could in their interactions with me. I feel that this job really helped me bloom in terms of the customer service I was able to provide to these individuals.
During my time at this job, I was tasked with scanning inventory that was being delivered to the store, and keeping the store stocked with merchandise.Along with this task, I would assist as a cashier if I was needed, as well as pick up extra shifts on the registers. This job taught me to be more experienced in keeping track of inventory, receiving shipments to a business, and understanding the proper measures to making sure your whole order is accurate upon arrival.
I decided to achieve an electrical apprenticeship once the job was offered to me when working for my uncle doing concrete. My uncle was in the process of moving to Texas, and I was going to be without a job, so I figured the best opportunity at the time would be to learn something about a new trade. This helped me explore more of the many aspects of construction that would be available if I was to ever have the desire to venture into a different field.
