Kody Lewis

As a mechanical maintenance intern at Central Contra Costa Sanitary District, I assisted in the maintenance, repair and installation of the mechanical equipment used in wastewater treatment facilities. My role during my inter ship involved using hand tool, power tools, learning about pumps, motors, valves, and the critical parts they play to ensure efficient operations for the plant. Though support of experienced technicians I also learned safety protocols for an industrial environment such as lock out tag out process and confined space procedures. Throughout out my internship I gained hands on experience that has aloud me the deepen my understanding of mechanical systems in a industrial environment.

As a service technician at amerces tire, I performed a wide range of tire and services in a fast-paced, customer focused environment. My responsibilities included communicating with customers in a perceptional and respectfully way, mounting, balancing, and repairing tires, conducting visual inspections, and ensuring vehicles met safety standards. Collaborating closely with a team of technicians helped strengthen my mechanical skills and my attention to details.
