My duties at the TXDOT Angelina County maintenance office include inspecting and maintaining FM roads and major highways and ensuring the safety and compliance standards of these roads. Performed temporary repairs on road failures as part of patch crew operations. Assisted road crew with daily maintenance activities to enhance roadway conditions. Learned and performed calculations and measurements used during roadway maintenance, like hot mix. Attended many safety meetings and discussions on safety standards, traffic control, and other maintenance duties. Collaborated with the sign crew on inspection, maintenance, and installation of traffic signs. Conducted inspections of the maintenance yard to uphold regulatory compliance. Disposed of debris and dead animals, maintaining clear and safe roadways. Operated various light and heavy equipment, including a rubber tire roller, broom, and steel wheel roller. Participated in emergency response calls for accidents, weather events, and urgent repairs. I was awarded the Diboll FFA Chapter's Outstanding FFA Member Award for my efforts during the 2016-2017 school year.

I ran for and was elected into office as the Diboll FFA Chapter Historian for the year 2018-2019.

I was awarded by the Texas FFA organization the Lone Star Degree Award for all of my efforts during my three high school years of being in FFA (the second-highest degree you can get in the National FFA organization and the highest degree you can obtain in the State of Texas).
