Ultrasound Charge Tech:

• perform quality ultrasound images for a wide variety of exams and assist the Radiologists with procedures while providing excellent patient care.
• coordinate workflow with technologists and patients and Providers to ensure that they are able to have procedures or exams performed in a timely manner.
• knowledgeable in Cerner, Synapse/RIS systems and serve as a resource for my co-workers.
• ordering for my department to ensure we have all supplies needed.

• compiling and tracking of equipment logs and maintenance records for the Ultrasound machines.
• More recently I have been tracing High Level Disinfection use in Ultrasound and other areas within the Organization that use HLD. I have been rounding with these areas to confirm that they are using the proper protocols and that they have accurate information in their log books so that we are Joint Commission ready in that aspect.

• train new employees teaching them our exam protocols and helping to tech them practices throughout our organization
• teach students how to perform ultrasound exams using proper positioning, protocols, reporting on exams as well as informing them of policy and procedures

• Performed CT scans on patients, ensuring proper positioning and appropriate imaging techniques.
• Assisted radiologists in performing diagnostic procedures as needed.
• Identified patient's individual needs prior to scanning procedure.
• Maintained quality assurance of all equipment used for imaging studies.
• Conducted post-processing of images using various software applications.
