Under supervision of Lab School Manager:

• Serve as director of program during absence of manager.
• Foster authentic relationships with staff, children, families, students and faculty.
• Resolve problems, improve operations and provide exceptional service.
• Ensure that program is compliant with Title 22 Child Care licensing regulations.
• Daily supervision of 3 mentor teachers, 7 assistant teachers, and up to 20 student teachers per semester. Provide feedback, answer questions, and help to facilitate team building and negotiation between teaching groups.
• Enrollment (e.g., maintaining wait list, contacting prospective families, providing tours, scheduling children, community outreach).
• Schedule and facilitate staff meetings with teaching staff and Early Childhood faculty.
• Complete observations of children with potential delays or special needs and consulting with teachers and families to provide support and resources for children and families.
• Supporting ECE faculty in enrollment and orientation of student teachers.
• Coordination of Lab School events and activities.
• Complete daily office duties (e.g., answering phones and emails, maintaining employee and children files, accepting payments, ordering supplies, tracking absences, scheduling substitute teachers, etc.).

• Taught introductory courses in psychology and undergraduate course in research methodology.
• Fostered students' commitment to lifelong learning by connecting course materials to broader themes and current events.
• Developed and delivered engaging lectures to 30 undergraduate students per quarter.
• Wrote course materials such as syllabi, homework assignments and handouts.
• Wrote, administered and graded midterm and final examinations.
• Planned, evaluated and revised course content and course materials.

• Completed office clerical duties (e.g., answering phones, maintaining employee and children files, accepting payments, ordering supplies, assisting with scheduling, etc.).
• Greeted and answered questions for families interested in our program.
• Provided orientation and training to interns.
• Mentored new staff in professional development goals.
• Collaborated with staff and parents in implementing developmentally and culturally appropriate curriculum.
• Built quality working relationships and supervised lead and assistant teachers. Worked with teaching staff to evaluate individual progress and recommend appropriate learning plans.
• Provided exemplary childcare to infants and toddlers (6 months to 36 months).
• Conducted quarterly parent-teacher conferences.
