APEL
I gained valuable experience during the year I was the Lead Teacher/Curriculum Coordinator in Calcasieu Parish. I attended weekly professional development lunch and learns and monthly Curriculum Coordinator professional development and collaboration meetings. I gained experience observing classrooms and developing Bulls Eye PGP goals. I mentored teachers on reaching those BE goals and adjusting once achieved. I created and implemented cycles with teachers focusing on standards, instruction, and behavior goals. I analyzed data and created RTI charts that addressed students' weaknesses, provided lesson plans, and provided materials for teachers. I analyzed LEAP scores and deficits, then created a plan of action for teachers along with materials and strategies. I tested students to gain our RTI data. I created a great rapport with staff and offered a safe space for teachers to vent, think, ask questions, and offer ideas. I prided myself in HELPING the teachers with any need they had. I planned and conducted PLC's weekly. I believe all of my experience I gained would benefit South Beauregard Upper Elementary teachers!
