· Provides direct patient care as delegated by the RN and Medical Staff.

· Monitors and record vital signs

· Assists in providing personal hygiene and physical care needs

· Performs blood glucose testing using blood glucose meter

· Reports changes in patient’s status promptly to RN

· Performs venipuncture for blood collection and insertion of IVs

· Performs EKGs

· Knowledge of splinting and applying splints appropriately

· Performs as patient care companion when needed

· Acts as ER unit secretary

· Acts as a runner/transporter

· Demonstrates a commitment to patients, nursing staff, and Emergency Department in accordance with the team performance expectations.

· Support and accomplish all crew pay payroll processing functions.

· Remaining consistent with union contracts and company policies.

· Review and analyze processing to ensure accuracy.

· Seek process improvements while reviewing and recommending updates.

· Use of PeopleSoft to generate inquires and run various reports.
