IV Start Class

  • I worked along with my nurse manager and clinical mentor to create an IV start class. It was a class where we coordinated with the Emergency Department nurse manager to take new RN graduates down to the ER and inserted peripheral IV's. It helped new nurses gain confidence in that skill be doing it repetitively. I would be alongside of them guiding them and teaching them.
