• Manage a team of 50+ rehabilitation therapy clinicians, psychiatric focused therapists, rehab admissions coordination teams, and support staff to provide the highest quality of care to patients on the inpatient trauma rehabilitation unit and inpatient psychiatry units.
• Manage budget, payroll, hiring and onboarding of new employees
• Rehabilitation committee roles include: Rehab Utilization Management, Rehab Quality Improvement, and Rehab Management Council Steering Committees. All addressing quality of service provision and ongoing quality improvement projects to optimize service delivery.
• Lead a Rehab Patient and Family Advisory Council since 2015 for former patients/caregivers to contribute feedback for process improvement.
• Accreditation Lead for Certification of Accredited Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) :
• Lead successful accreditation surveys in 2023 (Rehab), 2020 (Rehab and Psychiatry), 2017 (Rehab and Psychiatry)
• 2023 survey achieved no recommendations – only 3% of all rehab centers have achieved this level of recognition
• 2020 survey achieved high accommodation for development of our Assistive Technology program.

Leadership:

• Hospital wide committee involvement: Early Mobility PI, P&O PI, Hospital Education Committee, Pain Care Committee, Burn Team Leaders, EPIC Rehab Specialty workgroup, Therapy Billing/Revenue Cycle meeting, Safe patient handling and Credentialing Committee.
• Assisted with HR and payroll functions, including weekly Kronos review, hiring and onboarding of new employees.

Clinical:

• Provide physical therapy intervention on the acute care and intensive care floors.
• Provide support to clinical staff for program development and complex patient interventions
• Developed competencies and assisted with orientation of new rehab mobility technician pilot.

• Provide PT services for adult outpatient neurologic patients. Primary patient population included: spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, and cerebrovascular accidents.
• Responsible for training and supervising level III, level II, level I, and student physical therapists.
• Chair of the Professional Development Committee 2010-2013. Facilitated the ability to provide multiple continuing education opportunities on site for staff, initiated Clinical pearl in-services, and helped manage funds to provide support to clinicians attending national conferences.
• Assisted with grant writing for the Nielsen Grant and successfully initiated and maintained an exercise class for individuals with SCI as a transition from outpatient services to community living.
