Working 2-3 days a week as a second nurse in the elementary school setting assessing and implementing care for preschool-4th grade level. Administering scheduled medications. Treating minor illness and injury and prepared for any possible allergic reactions.

Responsible for admitting patients in an outpatient surgical setting by obtaining consents, vital signs, inserting IVs, and administering antibiotics for the pre-op surgical patient. Also trained as a PACU nurse to monitor and recover post anesthetic and surgical patients.

Responsible for implementing a plan of care for the infant and both the surgical and vaginal postpartum patient. Also, caring for the antepartum and gynecological patient as needed.

Worked in the high school setting for an after school program assessing the students health and treating minor illness and injury when necessary. Also, accompanied elementary level students during summer programs on field trips and was available for any emergent needs of the students from injuries and illness to possible allergic reactions.

Caring for the pediatric client in their home setting. Assessing and modifying plan of care, as needed, and administering prescribed medications.

Responsible for implementing a plan of care and administering medications to adult cardiac patients on a progressive care unit, while also assuming role of charge nurse at times.
