Leadership Experience

For the last five years, I have served as a member of the Mississippi Teacher Advisory Council where I work alongside teachers and the state superintendent to determine best practices for improvement of Mississippi public schools. I have also maintained the position of Lead Teacher for the fourth grade hall at Senatobia Elementary School for the last ten 10 years while serving as the liaison between administration and teachers, conducting weekly PLC's, and assisting teachers with incorporating best practices and instructional strategies. In January 2019, I was a member of the Social Studies textbook review committee for the Mississippi Department of Education. During Spring 2022 and 2023, I wrote state test questions for the mathematics portion of the MAAP test in Mississippi. For the past eleven years I have volunteered with the Junior Auxiliary of Tate-Panola. During my service time I have served as the Finance Committee Chair, Projects Chair, Scholarship Chair, Child Welfare Chair, and as a member of the Membership Committee.
