Summary

My current experience and success as an Admissions Nurse Liaison for Brooks Rehabilitation, makes me an extremely well rounded candidate for the Pre-Service Medical Review Nurse position. The diversity of my current role includes a weekly meeting with a local HCA hospital CFO and Director of Case Management. This weekly interaction has given me a lot of insight as to how important quick and appropriate insurance authorizations are to patient outcomes and hospital length of stays. Each weekly meeting involves discussing challenging authorization cases, working closely with medical teams and writing the appeals for their complex patients denied and creating solutions to other barriers that may increase a patients length of stay. As a result of my hard work, there has been a steady decline in the acute care hospitals length of stay and I have exceeded my admissions goals each year with Brooks. The same success I’ve had with Brooks, is the same success I’ve had in all my previous roles due to my determination and self driven work ethic. I am confident that I could be an excellent asset to Blue Cross as well, as a Medical Review Nurse, and hope to get the opportunity to show you that.
