- A Level 1 Trauma Center Pediatric Intensive Care Unit that consists of 24 beds and entails over 20 specialties.
- Responsible for the management and care of critically ill ICU and IMC patients.
- Skills including management of ECMO, CVVH, trauma, hematology/oncology patients, procedural sedation, artificial airways, post-operative patients, burns, sepsis, terminally ill patients, organ donation, organ transplantation, and end of life care.
- Roles within the PICU include bedside patient care management, preceptor, unit resource, and children's hospital resource nurse.
- Resource roles include responding to SWATs (rapid responses) across the children's hospital, responding to trauma alerts in the trauma bay, assisting other pediatric units with the transport of critically ill patients to CT, MRI, and OR. This also includes assisting with procedural sedation's and assisting other nurses on my home unit with different tasks.
- Experience within hospital includes floating to the pediatric CVICU, NICU, and general pediatric units.
