Summary

Proven history of turning fitness locations around by a strong leadership presence and direct experience in the field. I lead by action first but acknowledge that one person alone cannot achieve a team goal. Staff and member safety come first for me; I bring a calming and supportive energy to the team. Strong at developing a bench of people for a real career in fitness, no matter the role.

  • Was promoted from the Henderson location to the Summerlin location in July of 2022.

General Manager

EOS Fitness
10.2020 - 12.2021
  • Took over a very struggling club in every aspect of the business. The Eastern and Serene location was dead last in the company in new membership sales, personal training, member satisfaction scores and culture. This particular club achieved one or two sales quotas in the previous two years to my arrival.
  • Restaffed the sales team, assistant managers, welcome team members. Built connections with the members and fielded an extraordinary amount of member complaints. Surveyed the gym daily for cleanliness, broken equipment, organization of weights and miscellaneous equipment and implemented 2-3 "all-staff" team cleans (not just to clean but to show a presence of action to the disgruntled members) to be executed daily.
  • After three months of being in that building, the results: went from bottom 10 in member satisfaction scores (out of 65 clubs) to top 20 consistently; won the sales championship belt for Las Vegas (#1 in percentage to sales goal, over 100%) in August, September and October and was one of the only clubs in the whole company (65 locations) in that 3 month span to hit goal at all.
  • Led the company in total POS referrals; about 1,400 for the club for three months straight (led by me).
  • Increased the clubs PT @ POS attachment from less than 1% to just under 10%. My individual average PT attachment percentage was 15% in a high volume membership model.
  • Three of my new hires for sales were promoted to AGM soon after and one them was promoted to GM 6 months later.
  • I was promoted from the Eastern and Serene location to the Durango & 215 location in November of 2021

General Manager

New York Sports Club
08.2010 - 03.2016
  • In August of 2010, started out as a membership sales person at the West 23rd location in Manhattan, NY. Was promoted to Assistant General Manager to the Varrick St Manhattan location 12 months later. Four months after that, was promoted to the GM of the same Varrick St location.
  • The Varrick St location was open for about 7 years, prior to my arrival to the location and only met about 12 total sales quota's over that 7 year timeframe. NYSC's business model was so that the GM does not sell, they must be able to train a staff to be able to sell and hold them accountable. Through my leadership ability and skillset, our team missed only one sales quota for the next 24 months.
  • I was selected as the General Manager of the year (out of 165 GM's) for the year 2012
  • Was promoted to "Mentor General Manager" in 2013 to the Huntington location. This role was an Assistant Regional Manger position. I would hold monthly sales training for the district (12 clubs), collect daily sales number from the other GM's and send to the district manager; hold weekly conference calls; and the new GMIT's (GM in training) would spend 30 days with me before being placed in a club.
  • Was promoted to the Brooklyn belt location one year later as a Business Manager and Fitness Manger. Business manager is a GM of one club and oversees 3 other locations as well. They cut the FM of that location so I assumed fitness department responsibilities.
