PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center / January - March 2024

· Learned how to be flexible, participated in effective teamwork on the floor, worked with knowledgeable RN's. Under RN supervision, performed IV starts, inserting catheters, and subcutaneous injections.

- Worked on the second medical-surgical floor (MJ2).

- Total: 88 hours

Unity Center for Behavioral Health / January - March 2024

· Worked with patients that had various mental health conditions, participating in engaging therapeutic conversation, active listening techniques, and group sessions with the patient and social worker.

- Worked on the first floor, low adult acuity.

- Total: 24 hours

Evergreen Inn / January - March 2024

· Learned how mental health is managed in the community. Helped employees with tasks needed, such as waking up residents for their morning medications, helping a resident with a shower, and organizing a resident's room.

- Total: 32 hours

Legacy Health / September - December 2023

· Took care of patients with complex heart and respiratory issues. Continued to utilize and improve upon nursing skills.

- Worked on the PCCU and Medical Specialties floors.

3rd quarter:

PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center / April - June 2023

· Worked with patients pre-op & post-op. Under RN supervision, helped administer prophylactic antibiotics, anticoagulant medications, and many more skills utilized on a surgical floor.

- Worked on the Surgical 7 and 8 floors.

- Total: 98 hours

2nd quarter:

PeaceHealth Southwest Family Birth Center / January - March 2023

· Worked on the postpartum unit, labor unit, as well as NICU. Provided teaching for new mothers, helped a new father change his baby. Observed 2 vaginal births.

1st quarter:

Hudson's Bay Health and Rehabilitation Center / September - December 2022

· Participated in direct patient care through medication passes with instructor, taking blood sugars and vitals, & helping with ADL's.
