- Currently, I work as the lead for my shift with meeting the production goals of our unit manager
- I do this by setting the daily objectives, using my experience to help them troubleshoot when issues arise and communicating/coordinating with facility maintenance to repair equipment while not compromising productivity of the unit
- Additional daily duties include the completion of regulatory checks and reports that help to provide evidence of compliance to the various entities that approve our permits to operate
- I plan the monthly HF training/drills for our unit.
- Over my three years as a supervisor, I have also had to grow my soft skills for dealing with the issues that arise within a team environment
- I’ve had to mediate conflict resolution, perform incident investigations, hold coaching sessions and hand down discipline
- Above all the responsibilities of my job, I see myself as a teacher to everyone on my team
