2019-2022 ONBOARD USS SAN DIEGO
- Contributed to the launch, safe movement, and recovery of 345 aircraft evolutions in direct support of flight operations.
- Achieved LSE qualification and was appointed as such through the majoity of the 2022 deployment
- Accomplished 186 man hours of preventative maintenance on 425 mission critical assets as assistant work center supervisor
- Leadership among peers ensured completion of 124 hours of deck preservation to include 22 of V101 spaces and catwalks
- Throughout deployment I was playing a key role in photography and data records to the Visual Information Personnel and Nautical or Photographic interpretation and examination team
- Through this time period a multiple of qualifications were obtained including crash and salvage crewman, LSE, work center supervisor, refueling crewman and a variety of others
- Completed 425 maintenance checks as Work Center Supervisor contributing to a 98% accomplishment rating
- Served and a Damage Control Petty Officer (ER09) completing 113 maintenance checks
- Contributed to 54 Man Hours to the ER09 maintenance
2022-PRESENT ONBOARD USS BOXER
- Served onboard the USS Boxer as assistant leading petty officer (ALPO) and work center supervisor
- Responsible for safety throughout the Flight deck ensuring PPE is worn correctly, flight deck rules are met, and VLA marking rules were followed
- Extensively knowledgeable in SKED
- Directly supervised and responsible for 100% completion, with a 100% pass rate for all Spot Checks.
- Assisted in all re-installation of Visual Landing Aids (VLA) on all outside spaces.
- Responsible for refurbishment of flight deck nonskid, parts, gear, and equipment
- Conducted training for all 215 Air Department personnel in crash and salvage operations biweekly.
- Performed all preventative maintenance for 20K forklift, 6k forklift, and crash and salvage amphibious assault crane.
- Extensively experienced on aircraft systems, information, and maintenance including the following aircraft
CH-53 Sea stallion, AH-1 Cobra, UH-1 Huey, V-22 osprey, H-60 Blackhawk, H-60 Sierra and Romeo, F-18, F-16, Harrier, and F-35
- Knowledgeable within all Crash and Salvage procedures in the aircraft listed above
- Inspected aircraft launching and recovery equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Checked and maintained aviation fueling systems, including fuel tanks, pumps, lines and filters.
- Assisted in the safe movement of aircraft on the flight deck or hangar decks.
- Supervised personnel during air operations involving launch and recovery of aircraft from ships.
- Operated crash rescue vehicles for responding to emergency situations on the flight deck.
- Responsible for comprehension of TACAN (AN/URN-32).
- Became SRF-B certified which instates that I am able to stand armed watches
- Responsible for over 1,000+ hours in 5 years of armed watch standing within the ship and at ECP gates at the San Diego naval base.
- Within the military, I became M4 and M9 certified, although my knowledge of firearms is much broader.
WELDING EXPERIENCE
- I have a wide variety of knowledge within welding, including knowledge of reading blueprints, cutting, burning, TIG, scarfing, etc.
- Furthermore, I have math skills to get the weld done correctly.
- My expertise in welding includes cutting, scarfing, and burning.
- Although I have not welded in 2 years, I still have the knowledge to get the job done correctly and efficiently.
