Summary

As the daughter and granddaughter of educators I have always grown up knowing the importance of education. I have always been around children and have had the responsibility of working and taking care of them. My senior year of high school I had the privilege and experience of being selected to work as a peer tutor in the first grade at Woodcrest Elementary for the school year. I love children and have spent my entire life around them including taking care of my three younger siblings when given that responsibility. I grew up in a diverse dance studio since I was two and began helping and teaching dance as I advanced in my dance ability. I taught dance for 4 years at Lancaster Dance Academy in Beaumont, TX, and take pride in being a good role model to my students, siblings and others I come into contact with. I have learned the importance of patience, determination, discipline, self-discipline and seeing a job through from start to finish. I love helping my students reach their goals. Seeing the excitement it brings to them, once they achieve that goal, is extremely rewarding to me. I would love the chance to continue working with children in education and/or in the dance world, and hope that I am given the opportunity to do so.
