POP Team Co-Manager

• Coordinated and managed six phases of state and local COVID-19 home test kit distribution, delivering 838,000 kits to low-income families, which was achieved through successful partnerships with community-based organizations (CBOs) providing essential services.
• Developed and implemented an internship program for Master of Public Health (MPH) students, providing valuable hands-on experience. Successfully onboarded and mentored six interns specializing in epidemiology, health promotion, and health policy.
• Led community engagement efforts for Mpox outreach, which included collaborating with the LGBTQ+ community to develop culturally appropriate educational materials, and identifying and prioritizing locations, businesses, and events for targeted outreach and vaccination events. Successfully coordinated and staffed 16 Mpox vaccine and/or material distribution events.
• Co-managed the Epidemiology Promotion, Outreach, and Programs (POP) team, overseeing two direct reports and four indirect reports.
• Led the development of over 300 educational materials, including webpages, flyers, social media content, and presentations. Successfully conducted six air quality training sessions at four high schools, reaching 578 students, and two school HVAC training sessions for 228 facility staff.
• Organized outreach and engagement strategies for a CDC-funded REACH cooperative agreement focused on increasing COVID-19 and other adult vaccination rates among Black and Hispanic communities.
• Developed and coordinated the implementation of a Vaccine Knowledge, Attitudes, and Beliefs survey, and facilitated ten focus group discussions with 150 individuals in priority populations to inform the development of targeted intervention strategies.

• Successfully launched the Ending the Epidemic program by leading the formation and facilitation of proposal review committees, resulting in the selection of three high-quality proposals that effectively addressed critical community health needs, and paved the way for developing essential new services.
• HIV Planning Group (HPG) Support Manager.
• Improved HIV Care and Support: By effectively managing the San Diego HIV Planning Group (HPG) and its processes, this role directly enhanced the quality and accessibility of HIV care and support services for people living with, and affected by HIV/AIDS.

Dental Health Initiative/Share the Care and Access to Care Manager

• Collaborated with community dental clinics to establish key partnerships, which led to the successful hosting of a no-cost, one-day event at six sites that provided sealant/varnish clinics, and screenings.
• Facilitated access to dental services for children through these initiatives, resulting in 289 children screened, 183 receiving fluoride varnish, and 106 receiving sealants for a combined value of $37,020.

• Company Overview: Maternal, Child, and Family Health Services
• Provided oversight for the San Diego Kids Health Assurance Network (SDKHAN) program, which included developing and implementing strategies to increase access to health care for middle-income families.
• Demonstrated facilitation skills by co-leading 20 prenatal and postpartum sessions for the Black Infant Health (BIH) program, a health equity initiative.
• Sessions focused on cultural heritage as a source of pride, healthy pregnancy, labor and delivery, how to be an advocate for themselves and their baby, stress management, and healthy relationships.

• Oversaw and coordinated research staff and activities across 19 Planned Parenthood of the Pacific Southwest clinics.
