• As the K-8 music teacher at Grand River Academy, I am responsible for creating lesson plans that engulf young minds in the art of music while mentoring and directing the students towards being scholarly, respectable young individuals. As a teacher in an elementary-middle school, I have to be quick on my toes, adapting rapidly to any changes that may come about throughout the day. I make sure each and every student is nurtured in the way that is most conducive to their learning and growth. I am also expected to assist in the arrival and dismissal of the students, ensuring they get out of and back to their cars in a safe and swift manner.

• My time with Enrich Kids Now Youth Enrichment Services was considered an enrichment experience for the young children I worked with; however, it was an enriching experience for myself as well. During the summer time, I had the privilege of working with kids at Henderson Academy (Detroit Public Schools Community District) who were approximately between ages 5-10, assisting the lead teacher with stretches, dances, and discipline for the children. For my final days with Enrich Kids Now, I was a fill-in lead teacher, teaching the students a new set of curriculum that I’d come up with myself.

• During my time with the Essential Curriculums Team, I did long term substitute teaching at River Rouge High School from January 2025 until the close of their school year in June 2025. I was responsible for the Spanish 1 class and making sure the students were receiving the proper education and mentoring in lieu of their permanent teacher.

• As an Event Coordinator at Launch, you are responsible for supervising birthday parties and group events, ensuring each guest is having an extraordinary time and making positive memories within the establishment. You are tasked with ensuring that each guest fills out their safety waiver, checking guests in using the POS, assigning party hosts, making sure each party host is adequately attending to guests in each party room, and making sure the party rooms are cleaned properly after each party. The Event Coordinator position requires patience, attentiveness, and genuine care for the customer (Guest of Honor, Party Parent, Guests, etc.)
• The cashier position is slightly different, but the goal remains the same — ensuring a positive, memorable experience for each customer. As a cashier at Launch, you are responsible for greeting each guest with a smile, ensuring each guest has a safety waiver on file, and fulfilling any requests the customer has. In addition to this, you are responsible for setting up Laser Tag games on the computer, completing check out for redemption (prizes that can be redeemed with tickets that the customer has accumulated from arcade games), and making sure socks, wristbands, and redemption are fully stocked in between customers.

• As the assistant jazz instructor, you will work under Mr. Scott Gwinnell teaching high school students the basics of the art form that is Jazz music. The goal at the end of the program is to ensure each student gains knowledge and confidence, while teaching them how to master the skill of the genre as well. At the end of the program, each student will perform a solo piece that they worked on and polished during their time with their instructors.

• As a Family Dollar Cashier you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers. Key priorities include greeting customers, assisting them with selection of merchandise, completing transactions, and answering questions regarding the store and merchandise, maintaining store cleanliness/neatness, etc.

• As a show host at HOT91, you will record or broadcast your show live. You can be for the setup and breakdown of production at various events, and research and materials for the run of the radio show.
• While I was here, I was RonTV’s co-host while managing two solo radio shows.

Assist instructors in reinforcing class protocol and procedure. Assistant is responsible for monitoring students when instructors are not present and helping instructors during bathroom breaks, emergency situations, and behavioral incidents.

• Cash handling, fuel transactions, cleaning, and stocking are responsibilities of the associate. There is also food service, specifically food preparation and foodservice safety. What you might not expect is the camaraderie of the store team and fun interactions with customers!

• As the sales associate, I helped drive sales growth by flowing into multiple areas of the store including selling, cashiering, processing, replenishing, helping with placing merchandise in its proper area for floor sets, as well as cleaning.

• Responsible for helping Student Conductor with tasks, helping propel the leadership team and choir, conducting the choir, teaching music to the choir, and helping directors carry out tasks and orders.
• Making sure the choir members bonded, as well as feeling aware of and included in the overall Norfolk State University Concert Choir experience.

• Responsible for teaching the section the music by playing parts on the piano.
• Made sure soprano section members were ready for virtual and in person performances, as well as being ready for check-offs (also known as music testing.)
